Last Nights Frozen/Oscar Recap! Two Wins and a Whoops! (videos)

March 3, 2014

A lot of us Disney Fans were watching and waiting to see two things…. whether Disney won any Oscars and to see Idina Menzel sing “Let it Go” live. A bit earlier in the show, Disney’s Frozen did indeed win for Best Animated Film. I think we all had a feeling it would, on the grand scheme of things, it was the best choice. Then, the wait began…… and we waited and waited… where’s the song? Out comes John Travolta to introduce the performance we’ve all been patiently waiting for… and…. he called Idina Menzel the WRONG name! Within a minute, the name “Adele Dazim” was all over Twitter, because that’s the name he called Ms. Menzel! Ouch! I felt really bad for her, because she was a bundle of nerves, and after being called the wrong name, I’m sure that didn’t help. The music was a bit fast, but she held her own under the circumstances. As for John Travolta…. he had one job to do, he should have at least practiced her name. Let it Go won the Oscar, so that does help the “whoops” a little. All in all, it was a good night for Frozen, I’m sure the folks at Disney were happy with their victory! Congrats to Disney for Frozen winning Best Animated Film and Best Original Song! You did the fans proud!

In case you missed it, here is (Adele Dazim, ugh, really John Travolta?) Idina Menzel singing the hit song “Let It Go” at the Oscars. She did great under the circumstances, the fans love her and this beautiful song! Enjoy!

If you missed John Travolta’s introduction heard round the world… here it is. I guess we have to Let It Go and forgive him…..

  1. She did a wonderful job despite everything, I don’t think any of this was her fault. I felt bad that her name was mispronounced and the song was rushed through. I’m glad Frozen and Let it Go won awards very well deserved indeed. This was a good night for Disney fans and Frozen fans everywhere. I’m just irritated that there are people that still want to bash Idina because she was nervous. I’m sure none of them can sing any better than she did last night.
