S.H.I.E.L.D. has found its newest recruit in Bill Paxton, who will guest star in an upcoming episode of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” as Agent John Garrett!
“We are absolutely thrilled to be working with Bill Paxton,” said “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Executive Producers Maurissa Tancharoen and Jed Whedon. “We had imagined Bill when we were initially developing the character, and now that he’s actually playing the role, we’re pretty much geeking out. He’s a wonderful human being, and a genuine pleasure to be around.”
Paxton, whose credits include a five year run on HBO’s “Big Love” and an Emmy-nominated role in “Hatfields & McCoys” as well as “Aliens,” “Twister,” “Apollo 13,” “Titanic” and many more, will join the cast as a former mentor of Agent Ward (Brett Dalton). In the Marvel comics, John Garrett first appeared in ELEKTRA: ASSASSIN #2, and most recently joined forces with Nick Fury once again in SECRET WARRIORS.
