Premiere Of Walt Disney Pictures' "The Lone Ranger" - Arrivals

It’s a busy time for the folks over at Disney.  The same weekend the much anticipated “Monsters University” hit theaters, their next film venture “The Lone Ranger” has it’s red carpet premiere as well.    The festivities were held at the Disneyland Resort in California.

On Saturday June 22, 2013, Disneyland’s California Adventure rolled out the red carpet for celebrities to walk on, heading for the Hyperion Theater to watch the screening of “The Lone Ranger.”   Fans were elated with anticipation to catch a glimpse of some of the actors they may see.  The stars of the film, Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer were of course a crowd favorite.  The Lone Ranger’s horse “Silver” even made an appearance along with the actual train engine built for the film.  Some fans had been waiting overnight on Buena Vista Street to ensure they got a good spot to grab a much sought after photo or autograph from Tonto himself, Johnny Depp.  Tickets were sold for the actual screening for charity, and there was an after party at Cars Land as well as a special showing of World of Color.  How exciting would have it been to be there?

There were a large amount of celebrities that showed up for this event, but Johnny Depp made the biggest impact.  Not only did he pose for photos and sign autographs for his fans, he payed tribute to the homage of his character, Tonto.  Johnny posed with the traditionally dressed Comanche tribe members as he wore a necklace with the face of his character, Tonto, beaded on the front.  The newly-turned 50-year-old shocked the audience gathered in the parking lot of Carmike Cinemas when he strode on to the red carpet on the arm of his adopted Comanche mother, LaDonna Harris.  Depp worked with the Comanche people to make his role as Tonto as authentic as possible.  In usual fashion, Johnny Depp does his best to truly get into character with the roles he plays.

All in all, the premiere of “The Lone Ranger” was a huge success.  I can’t wait to see how it does at the box office!  “The Lone Ranger” rides into theaters next week!
