The Japan Pavilion in Epcot, California Grill at the Contemporary Resort, and Kimonos at the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel were about it. Located at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Kona Island serves a dual purpose. During the morning hours, the island serves as a coffee bar, serving the most delicious pastries and Kona coffee. Throughout the rest of the day, the bar is transformed into an exotic sushi bar, offering fresh, made-to-order sushi and sashimi.
Menu items include appetizers and sushi. Pot stickers and sticky wings top the appetizer list and sushi offerings like the California roll, shrimp tempura roll, and lava roll round out the menu. In addition to the appetizers and sushi, Kona Island offers a selection of sake, wine, beer as well as the full entrée menu from Kona Café. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis and the dining plans are not accepted.
