Recently, Disney’s Hollywood Studios added a new nighttime projection show, Disney Movie Magic. This presentation begins before the Star Wars Galactic Spectacular, and we finally got a chance to go over to record the show.
Just like with Christmas time, the Studios have added some extra fun for the evening, and Disney Movie Magic is great to watch. Some of our favorite Disney movies are featured during the show. Movies like Pirates of the Caribbean, Beauty and the Beast, Mary Poppins, Guardians of the Galaxy and much more. One of my favorite parts of Disney Movie Magic, was the excerpts of Walt Disney himself. You get to see Walt and hear his voice, it reminded me of the retired Castle show at the Magic Kingdom, Celebrate the Magic. I miss Celebrate the Magic, but especially the part which included Walt. This adds that same feeling, and it stirs up a lot of nostalgia, the Mary Poppins section does too. For those who love the current films, you’re covered there as well. There’s a great section on Pirates of the Caribbean, and the one my kids liked, Guardians of the Galaxy, which features a dancing Baby Groot.
In all honesty, I haven’t heard a lot of details or information regarding Disney Movie Magic. I’m not sure if this show is here to stay, or just here for the summer.
