EPCOT officially opened on 10/1/1983.. Epcot opening day attractions in 1982 included the Magic Eye Theater showing Magic Journeys,the Kitchen Kabaret,Spaceship Earth, the

Universe of Energy film, O Canada!, Magic Journeys and more.
Future World’s Paviions included:
  • Journey into Imagination Pavilion
  • Spaceship Earth
  • Earth Station
  • Communicore East 
  • Communicore West
  • Land Pavilion
  • Universe of Energy Pavilion
  • World of Motion Pavilion 

Each country in the World Showcase was officially dedicated after the park opened during the official “Grand Opening Week” of October 15-27. The original nine countries in the World Showcase were:

The opening of Epcot saw the end of the “E-Ticket” at Walt Disney World. The cost of a one-day ticket was $15 for an adult, $14 for a junior and $12 for a child. Parking was $1 per car.
