It’s time for our weekly Random Acts of Kindness blog! This week, I want to tell you a little bit more about our CM friend Kelly that I mentioned last week in TMSM Fan Nation and her sweet family. Kelly is a long time Main Streeter and someone who is constantly making it a goal of hers to spread acts of kindness to others. She and her husband implement helping others in their daily lives, which is something I really admire them for. Well, last week, the unthinkable happened to this family. At the precious age of only 3 months old, their baby boy Elijah passed away. When I heard the news, my heart just broke, and they’ve been on my mind all week. As a parent, I can’t begin to comprehend what they must be going through. No one should have to go through the pain of losing a child.
In the past week, people have been asking Kelly what they can do to help. One of her friends set up a donation page for them, which I will link below. Kelly herself is asking people to do random acts of kindness in Elijah’s name. Being that extending kindness has always been so important to this family, she found it only fitting to keep doing that but in remembrance of baby Elijah. Through this tragedy, we can continue to spread love and compassion towards others. Kelly and her husband have three other little boys at home as well, so I know it’s been hard on them all. Times like this remind us of how important the people in our lives are, and how tomorrow is a gift and never promised.
