The first announcement introduces the Infernal Carnival of Nightmares, which shares its name with this year’s overall event theme. Universal described the scare zone by saying, “Jack and Dr. Oddfellow invite you to step right up and see what horrors hide in every shadow at a sinister spectacle decades in the making.” This zone will place guests right in the middle of the twisted rivalry between Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow, the two icons leading this year’s event, and will feature many of the characters guests can expect to see throughout the rest of Halloween Horror Nights 35.

The second scare zone announced is Sideshow of Decay. According to Universal, “Cindy’s time has come. With Dr. Oddfellow’s dark sorcery, she opened a portal in the carnival’s junkyard, using it to resurrect decayed nightmares from the past that are back to haunt you.” This zone leans into the carnival’s darker, more grotesque side, bringing back nightmares from Halloween Horror Nights history through Dr. Oddfellow’s twisted magic.

Both scare zones tie directly into this year’s headlining haunted house, Jack & Oddfellow: Chaos & Control, where the long-running rivalry between Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow takes center stage.

Halloween Horror Nights 35 runs on select nights from August 28 through November 1 at Universal Studios Florida. The event will include 10 haunted houses this year, with Sinners, H.R. Bloodengutz Presents: A Halloween Fright-Tacular!, INVASION: Alien Abduction, MADLANDS: Caged Cannibals, Cybergoria, Hellraiser and a Stranger Things house already confirmed. Guests can also expect scare zones, live entertainment including Nightmare Fuel: Blood Noir, and themed food and drinks throughout the event.

With two scare zones now revealed and plenty more houses, shows, and surprises expected to be announced in the coming weeks, Halloween Horror Nights 35 is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious years yet for Universal Orlando’s signature Halloween event.  Get tickets HERE.
