We have some terribly sad news to report today. Actress Daveigh Chase has passed away at the young age of 35. Disney fans know her as the voice of Lilo, in the film Lilo and Stitch and the television show that followed. She also appeared as Samara Morgan, the child antagonist in the 2002 horror film The Ring.
From 2006 to 2011, she had a recurring role on the HBO drama Big Love, playing Rhonda Volmer, a manipulative teenager raised in a polygamist family. In 2009, she returned as Samantha Darko in S. Darko, the sequel to Donnie Darko. She later appeared in the 2016 horror film Jack Goes Home, which remains her most recent on-screen role.
On June 16, 2026, Chase died due to complications of meningitis. Our hearts and prayers go out to her family and friends, she will be missed.
