Hocus Pocus 3 Greenlit with All Three Sanderson Sisters! This is fantastic news for us Hocus Pocus fans! Deadline just announced that another Hocus Pocus film is coming! All my sistahs (said in my best Winnie Sanderson voice) rejoice! Bette Mider, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy have all signed on to reprise their roles as Winnie, Sarah & Mary Sanderson in Hocus Pocus 3! As a die hard Hocus Pocus fan, I’m thrilled!
There are reportedly plans to include a theatrical release component this time, building on the success of Hocus Pocus 2, which debuted exclusively on Disney+. That said, the studio has not provided any official details, noting that the project is still in its early stages. Disney Live Action’s EVP of Production, Jessica Virtue, is set to oversee development.
There has been no word on what the script looks like or hints at what Hocus Pocus 3 will be about. Cast members from the original film have expressed interest in returning to the franchise, but we don’t know anything about that as of today. I liked part 2 but I think it would have been nice to see characters from the original for the sake of nostalgia. In my opinion, nothing will be as good as the original, but my curiosity is piqued as to what will come next. What about you, are you excited for Hocus Pocus 3?
