Disney Shareholders Reject DAS Review, Proposal 7. This subject has been controversial for quite some time, since Disney changed its rules for their Disability Access Service, or DAS. As anticipated, a shareholder proposal calling for an independent review of Disney’s Disability Access Service did not pass. While the proposal drew significant attention among park goers, it received only 5% support in the early shareholder vote totals. Disney limited access to the program for guests who had a “developmental disability like autism or similar” to the dismay of many. So what is Proposal 7?

Here’s the breakdown of what Proposal is and isn’t-

Shareholders were encouraged by the board to vote against this proposal, and all but 5% listened. The current DAS system will remain in place and not be reviewed by a third party. What prompted the changes to begin with allegedly was the program being too loose. Guests were abusing the system, as some didn’t need the assistance. Stay tuned for more updates as we see them.
