Wrestlepalooza, First Event Under New Partnership Between ESPN and WWE

September 21, 2025

Wrestlepalooza, debuted on ESPN’s new streaming service on September 20, 2025.  On August 6, 2025, ESPN and the WWE agreed to a five year deal that would grant ESPN’s new direct-to-consumer streaming service, the exclusive U.S. domestic home of all WWE Premium Live Events, including the two-night cultural phenomenon WrestleMania, starting in 2026. However, the WWE and ESPN moved up the timeline for their new partnership, allowing ESPN to broadcast some WWE events in 2025.

The first ever WWE Wrestlepalooza had a card of 5 matches. Below are the matches as well as the winners.

While this is the first ever WWE Wrestlepalooza, this is not the first time an event had this name. Wrestlepalooza was first produced by Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) that was held in 1995, 1997, 1998, and 2000.  In 2003, WWE acquired the assets of ECW from bankruptcy. It’s been over 20 years since Wrestlepalooza took place, but in August the WWE announced the return of the event.

In addition to the new WWE partnership, ESPN has entered into several major partnerships recently, including significant deals with the NFL, NBA, WNBA, and other media companies like Fox and Warner Bros. Discovery.  ESPN has always called themselves “The Worldwide Leader in Sports,” and now with what appears to be a shift in coverage, they are more than just a network and becoming a multi-platform sports are now a multi-platform sports universe” rather than just a network. The next WWE premium live event is Crown Jewel, which will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, in Perth, Australia. The event will stream on the ESPN app in the United States.
