Hungry? Give City Works at Disney Springs a try!

April 9, 2024

As you know, there are plenty of places to grab a bite to eat across Walt Disney World property. Not just at the parks but of course at Disney Springs. Sometimes I prefer going to the Springs in the evenings, it’s just a different vibe and a pinch less crowded. Last week we had dinner at City Works at Disney Springs, the restaurant near Cirque du Soleil. They have outdoor seating and a bar, plus a fantastic dining room inside. Let’s talk about what we ordered!

Appetizers- Fried pickles and the bbq chicken flatbread

Let me just say, if you’re a fan of fried pickles, this is a must do! I’ve had fried pickles at a lot of restaurants, but honestly the ones at City Works are by far the best! Yes, a bold statement, but so true! I even told our server that and he said some come into the restaurant specifically to order them. As for the flatbread, my husband really enjoyed it. The sauce on the chicken has a sweet yet smoky flavor, the crust was fantastic too.

I had a cocktail, which was great too. It was a Peach Cooler-
Maker’s Mark, peach schnapps, lemon juice, orange juice, simple syrup, lemon-lime soda
The drink menu has a lot to offer, including margaritas, mules and craft beer.

As for our main course, we ordered the BBQ chicken chopped salad & the Scorpion Burger. The salad comes with ranch dressing and has chicken and onion rings piled on top. Same smoky bbq sauce on the chicken as the flatbread.

The Scorpion Burger is as hot as it sounds! If you’re a fan of spicy food, this burger should do the trick! So what’s on it you ask? Habanero pepper jack, jalapeños, five pepper jam, arugula, vine-ripened tomato, scorpion pepper aioli. Whew! This comes with fries, which are also delicious!

All in all, our evening at City Works was great. As locals, it’s a good spot for date night, fun atmosphere and fantastic food and drinks. If you’re on vacation, it’s a nice option if you want to get out of the parks and have a less crowded place to unwind and eat. You can find their full menu on Disney’s MDE app, there’s a lot to choose from. Don’t forget the fried pickles!
