What’s Different at Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival? Get the scoop! #tasteepcot

August 29, 2019

It’s been a busy day here at Walt Disney World! Yes, Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge opened today, but Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival began as well.

I’m a bit under the weather from working and traveling, but I did run over to Epcot this morning for photos. Occupational habits, I can’t help myself. What I did notice, is that instead of the signs and such in the front of the park welcoming guests to the Festival, they are in the beginning of World Showcase (pictured above). The front of the park has walls up, as the transformation of Epcot has apparently begun. Here’s what you’ll see when you enter Epcot by Spaceship Earth.

Back towards Mission Space, there is a new stage set up for the Disney Dujour Dance Party. On Fridays and Saturdays guests can enjoy appearances by Disney characters and performing artists from Radio Disney and Radio Disney Country.

Also, there is no Festival Center per say this year, due to construction. Demonstrations will be held in World Showplace next to the UK Pavilion. You can check in at your scheduled time outside the facility. What about the free chocolate you could get inside the Festival Center courtesy of Ghiradelli? No worries, you can find that in the Land Pavilion.

As for merchandise, you can find all the goodies at Port of Entry.  Also, there are merch booths all around World Showcase and of course in MouseGear.  Some things are very different this year, lots of construction. However… I’m excited for all the changes and additions that are coming!  It is temporary and I’m sure what Disney is working on will be worth the wait. Stay tuned for more Festival updates all season long.
