When most people think of Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew at Disney Springs, their minds immediately go to massive gourmet donuts, over-the-top milkshakes, and cold brew coffee creations. While those sweet treats absolutely deserve the hype, there’s one menu item that longtime fans quietly rave about, the Funky Chicken Sandwich.
For years, one of my friends has insisted that this sandwich is hands down the best chicken sandwich on all of Disney property, and after finally trying it for myself, I can honestly say… he may have been right. From the perfectly crispy chicken to the sweet-and-savory flavor combination, this sandwich completely surprised me in the best possible way. Now, I have had plenty of chicken sandwiches in my day, so giving this one it’s props on such a major scale. is pretty bit for me. My only complaint? I got one to split with my wife instead of one of my own. I’ve been wanting to go back to get another sandwich ever since! So does she!
Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew first opened at Disney Springs in early 2021 on the West Side near Splitsville and the AMC Theatre. The Florida-based concept quickly became known for its oversized gourmet donuts, loaded cold brew creations, and colorful retro-style atmosphere. Everglazed was created as a modern spin on the classic American donut shop, complete with a working show kitchen where guests can watch donuts being fried, glazed, and topped throughout the day.
Over the years, Everglazed has expanded beyond Walt Disney World with additional Florida locations, but the Disney Springs location remains one of the most popular stops for guests looking for both indulgent desserts and surprisingly underrated comfort food. Everglazed may have built its reputation on incredible donuts (Peanut Butter Explosion is my favorite) and creative cold brew drinks, but the Funky Chicken Sandwich proves the kitchen deserves just as much attention as the bakery case. Between the crispy fried chicken, flavorful toppings, and the unique combination of sweet and savory flavors, it’s one of those menu items that sticks with you long after your Disney Springs visit is over.
After hearing about it for years, I finally understand why so many people swear by it — and honestly, I’d have to agree. The Funky Chicken Sandwich at Everglazed just might be the best chicken sandwich on all of Disney property. If you’re visiting Disney Springs anytime soon, do yourself a favor and don’t overlook the regular menu. You may end up discovering your new favorite meal.
