Central Florida Schools Jump into Cool KIDS’ SUMMER
Walt Disney World Resort is celebrating the end of the school year by bringing the excitement of Cool KIDS’ SUMMER directly to local schools while also making a significant investment in education across Central Florida.
As part of the celebration, Disney announced a $1.3 million donation supporting education programs throughout Orange, Osceola, Lake, Polk, and Seminole counties. The initiative is designed to support students, educators, and local nonprofits while helping provide opportunities in academics, arts, literacy, and STEM education.
Goofy and Friends Surprise Local Students
To help launch the summer celebration, Disney visited local elementary schools with appearances inspired by the upcoming GoofyCore activities coming to EPCOT during Cool KIDS’ SUMMER.
Kindergarten and pre-kindergarten students were treated to playful games, energetic activities, and surprise appearances from the Goof Troop as Disney brought a taste of the summer fun directly into classrooms and school gyms.
The younger students joined in on silly games and dance activities centered around Goofy and friends, creating memorable experiences as the school year came to a close.
Disney Thanks Local Teachers and School Staff
After the student celebrations wrapped up, Disney continued the surprises by hosting special activities for teachers, administrators, and school staff members.
Educators were invited to participate in games and celebrations as a thank-you for their dedication throughout the school year. To further show appreciation, Disney gifted Walt Disney World theme park tickets to educators so they could enjoy time with their families during the summer season.
$1.3 Million Supporting Education Programs
The school visits are only part of Disney’s broader commitment to education and community support in Florida.
The $1.3 million investment will support all five local school districts as well as several nonprofit organizations and educational programs throughout Central Florida. Organizations benefiting from the funding include Elevate Orlando, A Gift for Teaching, and arts education programs connected to the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.
Funding will help provide opportunities in STEM education, literacy initiatives, arts programs, and student enrichment activities throughout the region.
Cool KIDS’ SUMMER Returns to Walt Disney World
Disney also reminded families that Cool KIDS’ SUMMER officially returns to Walt Disney World Resort from May 26 through September 8, bringing kid-focused entertainment, interactive experiences, and family-friendly activities across the parks and resorts.
The seasonal celebration is designed to encourage creativity, connection, and unforgettable summer memories for families visiting Walt Disney World.
