Netflix ‘Stranger Things: Tales from 85’ Trailer is Here! Stranger Things fans are getting excited once again because something new is coming! The Netflix original series just recently wrapped up, but now Stanger Things: Tales from 85 is coming! It’s a new animated series that follows our favorite characters on more adventures. The series will debut April 23, marking the franchise’s first dive into animation with brand new stories from Hawkins even as the main series concludes.
Broadway star Jeremy Jordan, known for Supergirl and Disney’s Newsies is heading to Hawkins! The fan favorite performer will lend his voice to Steve Harrington in the upcoming series.
The story takes us back to the winter of 1985, set between Seasons 2 and 3 of Stranger Things. What starts as a seemingly calm winter break complete with snowball fights and plenty of Dungeons & Dragons quickly takes a dark turn. As Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, and Max enjoy the snowy downtime, a mysterious danger begins stirring beneath the frozen streets of Hawkins.
With a new threat emerging from below, the young heroes are once again forced into action, determined to uncover the truth and save their town before it’s too late. The voice cast includes Brooklyn Davey Norstedt as Eleven, Jolie Hoang-Rappaport as Max, Luca Diaz as Mike, Elisha “EJ” Williams as Lucas, Braxton Quinney as Dustin, Benjamin Plessala as Will and Brett Gipson as Hopper. Odessa A’zion, Janeane Garofalo and Lou Diamond Phillips round out the ensemble. Flying Bark Productions is handling animation.
The Duffer Brothers executive produce alongside Robles, Hilary Leavitt via Upside Down Pictures, Shawn Levy via 21 Laps and Dan Cohen.
