Sprinkles Cupcakes Reportedly Closing Locations Nationwide! Many reports are surfacing online that Sprinkles Cupcakes will be closing their doors beginning January 1, 2026, this includes the location in Disney Springs at Walt Disney World.
According to various reports, employees were given a very short notice, some saying 1 day. Currently, their online ordering system is not allowing for any orders to be placed after December 31, 2025.
Sprinkles Cupcakes corporate offices have not yet released on official statement, but all indications seem to point to this being true.
On their official Facebook Page they just posted on December 16th about a new location coming to Burlingame, CA soon but appears that won’t be happening after today’s news reports.
Sprinkles Cupcakes was founded in 2005 by Candace Nelson in Beverly Hills, California, and is widely credited with helping launch the modern gourmet cupcake movement. At a time when cupcakes were largely seen as simple bakery items, Sprinkles elevated them into a premium dessert experience, focusing on high-quality ingredients and freshly baked cupcakes made daily.
