Universal Orlando Resort is offering a new way for guests to enjoy Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) with less scares this year. For $20, visitors can purchase the “Deathly Afraid Necklace,” a wearable accessory designed to provide a tamer experience in the event’s scare zones. Less jump scares.
The necklace signals to scare actors to ease up on the scares, allowing guests to navigate the themed zones with reduced intensity. However, Universal has clarified that the necklace does not apply to the event’s haunted houses, where the full terrifying experience remains unchanged. This new feature aims to make HHN more accessible for those seeking a milder experience.
I know the whole point of Halloween Horror Nights is to get scared, but some of us need to ease into it. I know I’ll be sharing this info with friends who may also be interested in getting one. So what do you think of this idea? Tell us about it in the comments!
