If you have ever wanted to get a dining reservation at a particular Walt Disney World restaurant, you know it can be frustrating trying to find a date and time that works for your schedule. Now, Disney has given us a better way to search and see if the restaurant you want is available at all during your trip or time frame.
As of today, when you go into either the My Disney Experience app or on the Walt Disney World website and want to make a dining reservation you can select a time period of up to 10 days and you can select all dining locations or narrow it down to a specific area based on location.
Here is an example with screen shots from the My Disney Experience app. The scenario is I will be at Disney from July 14 – July 22nd. I want to try to get a reservation for Ale & Compass at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort between the hours of 6am and 12pm.
First, enter the number of guests dining:
Second, choose your date range up to 10 days:
Third, select a block of time you would like the reservation during:
Fourth, pick the location area for where you would like to eat. I’m looking for Ale and Compass so I’ll pick EPCOT and Nearby Resorts
Now that you have entered all your criteria, click done and you will be presented with the list for each day of times and availability for the different dining locations that fall into the search options you selected:
As you can see, now you can go day by day and see what is available for the restaurant of your choice and what will work best for you.
Personally, I’ve spent a lot of time going day by day for a specific time period to find out if the restaurant I wanted to go to was even available on the day or a time period I wanted. Now with this new option, you can get the full look of what’s available and when and get your reservation. I feel this is a great improvement and will make it much faster to see what is available when I’m wanting to dine somewhere at .
