The lobby makeover is the final touch in a multi-year upgrade of the resort, which has seen improvements to guest rooms and dining options, including the Michelin-starred Victoria & Albert’s, Cítricos, Narcoossee’s, and 1900 Park Fare, among others.
Coming Soon: Grand Floridian Lobby Bar
Walking into the Grand Floridian feels truly magical—the gentle piano tunes, shimmering chandeliers, and fragrant floral displays set a vibe that’s both luxurious and soothing. Soon, guests will be able to soak in this enchanting atmosphere while sipping on a refreshing drink, thanks to the upcoming lobby bar!
Drawing inspiration from the lobby’s famous birdcage, the bar will honor the resort’s Victorian heritage with detailed woodwork, stained glass, and brass details. Keep an eye out for vibrant birds featured in the stained glass and murals scattered throughout the atrium! Right across from the bar, guests will still find the beloved Victorian cage-style elevator that everyone adores.
New Look, Same Grand Feel
The lobby, staircase, and front desk area will get a makeover with a blend of plant-inspired details and warm colors, aiming to create a light, garden-like vibe.
Disney Imagineers are taking a thoughtful approach to this renovation, ensuring they preserve the essence and story of the Grand Floridian while breathing new life into the lobby for guests to enjoy.
According to the new design, the lobby will showcase stunning new carpets featuring Victorian-style borders and intricate scrollwork, adorned with hand-drawn floral designs inspired by early botanical studies. The updated furniture will combine rich finishes and brass accents with inviting fabrics, along with some fun elements that reflect Florida’s natural beauty and Victorian design influences.
