Chris Pratt Teases Star Lord’s Future in Marvel Cinematic Universe

If you’re not already aware–when “Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3” premieres in theaters next year, James Gunn and David Bautista have already made it public  they will no longer be a part of the franchise moving forward. However, what is to come of Chris Pratt’s Star Lord character has been unknown until a recent interview the star took part in with Extra.

“I don’t know. I hope so. If not, you can always just follow me on Instagram,” Pratt joked with Extra, but then added, “There are no plans for that right now. I think anything is possible, anything is possible. There’s [the] multiverse thing. I’m not saying I am, but if a character gets killed… Actually, turns out there are, like, crazy wormholes to bring people back.”

Pratt continued: “Playing this character has been the honor of my career…I’m only focused on that right now.”

For those who are sad to hear of this news, which doesn’t technically answer any of our questions–it’s worth noting that we will be seeing Pratt as Star Lord in the upcoming “Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special” for Disney+ and more recently we got to see the character in “Thor: Love and Thunder.”

Not much is known about the next iteration of the Guardians franchise other than the fact that it’s been teased that it will pit the team against the High Evolutionary, a Marvel villain fans are thinking might be behind the creation of Rocket Raccoon. The film is set to arrive in theaters on May 5, 2023.

For those intensely questioning Pratt’s future with the character, it’s unfortunate that we’re probably going to have to wait untill the release of this next film before we know what’s next for the guardian of the galaxy.
