Chances are you’re going to the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival for the food and drinks – it’s right there in the name! But thanks to Disney PhotoPass photographers, photos can be a fun and lasting part of your experience too. As you stroll from marketplace to marketplace, keep an eye out for photographers who are ready to offer you festival-exclusive photos. Check out my top five favorite festival photo opportunities below.
With so much cooking around EPCOT, Remy had to join in on the fun! Spoiler alert, he’s going to be mentioned multiple times. Chef Remy is ready to help add a dash of magic to your photos at most locations in World Showcase where there’s a Disney PhotoPass photographer.
I did promise you more Remy, so here you go. This Magic Shot, available down by the water between the United Kingdom and France Pavilions, features Remy again. But this time it’s totally different because he’s on a plate with, well… ratatouille, of course! While rats and a food festival don’t typically make a great pairing, it just works here. That’s the magic of Disney!
Moving on from Remy (for now), let’s talk about photo ops focused on food. You can treat yourself to this Gelato Magic Shot in the Italy Pavilion. Gelato that doesn’t ever melt? Also magical.
Ah, props. The bread and butter of limited-time Disney PhotoPass opportunities. Include this pretzel prop in your Spaceship Earth photo when entering World Showcase from World Celebration. I know it looks real, but take it with a grain of salt, because it’s not.
Finally, in the Canada Pavilion, say “cheese” for this collage Magic Shot themed to the festival’s famous Canadian cheddar cheese soup. Yes, I said a Magic Shot themed to soup. I know, what a time to be alive. Huge respect if you happen to be eating the soup while taking this photo. If you do, please share that photo and tag #DisneyPhotoPass because we want to feature you on our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter! Throughout the festival, we’ll be rotating this Magic Shot to other locations so we can feature additional tasty festival foods, so you never know what you might get. I put in a request for a Magic Shot in the Germany Pavilion themed to apple strudel. We’ll see what happens.
If you still haven’t satisfied your appetite for fantastic photos, here comes the bonus course! At least that’s what I’m calling it because these next two photo ops aren’t exclusive to this festival. Year-round, including during the festival, you can capture this Runaway Remy Magic Shot by the fountain in front of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, as well as this chef’s hat Disney PhotoPass Lens featuring – you guessed it, Remy – anywhere in EPCOT through the My Disney Experience app with the purchase of Disney Genie+ service.*
To savor your experience long after the festival is over, consider purchasing Memory Maker. With Memory Maker, you can download and share all of the Disney PhotoPass photos and videos from your vacation captured at more than 100 locations, including any captured by Disney PhotoPass photographers and onboard 14 attractions. If you’re visiting exclusively to eat at EPCOT for a day (I’ve done that many times), Memory Maker One Day might be more to your taste. Click here to learn more or make a purchase.**
*With the purchase of Disney Genie+ service, Walt Disney World guests can access many Disney PhotoPass Lenses in the My Disney Experience app as soon as they enter the park. Select Disney PhotoPass Lenses are accessible only within designated areas of Walt Disney World Resort. Other Disney PhotoPass Lenses will remain accessible in the My Disney Experience app until 5:59 a.m. on the 45th day after the day on which the Disney Genie+ service was used; certain states and localities are excluded. Many Disney PhotoPass Lenses use technology that detects the coordinates of key points on a guest’s face and/or hands and may be used only by guests 18 years of age and older who have consented to use of this technology. Therefore, guests unable to provide such consent, as well as guests under 18 years of age, will have fewer lenses available to use. To access Disney PhotoPass Lenses, an eligible mobile device with the My Disney Experience app with access to the device’s camera and location is required. A purchase of Disney Genie+ service at Walt Disney World Resort does not include downloads of a guest’s Disney PhotoPass photos or videos that were captured by photographers and onboard attractions. Use of Disney PhotoPass Lenses is subject to the Terms and Conditions. Subject to restrictions and change without notice.
**Disney PhotoPass Service and Memory Maker are subject to the applicable terms and policies. Includes photos taken during the applicable Memory Maker Window as defined in such terms (generally, photos taken (i) within one day for Memory Maker One Day or (ii) within 30 days from the date of first activation for standard Memory Maker). If Memory Maker is purchased at the advance purchase price, any photos taken within 3 days of the date Memory Maker is purchased are not included and must be purchased separately. A MagicBand, or an eligible mobile device with Bluetooth technology enabled for the My Disney Experience app, is required to receive certain attraction photos and other digital content. Online registration required. Disney PhotoPass Photos in your account will expire pursuant to the expiration policy. Downloads are restricted to personal use only. Not responsible for missing, lost or damaged photos. Subject to restrictions and change without notice. Valid theme park admission required for certain photo locations.
