In Celebration of Disney and Pixar’s “Turning Red” Movie Release on Disney+ March 11, Panda Offers Guests in the United States and Canada a Chance to Win a $10,000 Education Fund

Panda Express®, the largest family-owned and operated American Chinese dining concept in the world, has teamed up with Disney and Pixar’s newest movie, “Turning Red,” to host the Embrace Your Inner Panda Sweepstakes and release themed sticker sheets with its Panda Cub Meal™ sets. The sweepstakes offer guests the chance to win a $10,000 education fund, a year’s supply of Panda Cub Meals, movie-themed prizes, and more. Directed by Academy Award® winner Domee Shi (Pixar short “Bao”), “Turning Red” is the studio’s first feature with a main character who is Asian, and a natural collaboration fit for Panda Express. As an immigrant-founded brand with a distinct American born Chinese identity, Panda aims to uplift the Asian, Asian American & Pacific Islander stories to celebrate diverse experiences that invite a greater sense of cultural appreciation.

From Feb. 16, 2022, to April 1, 2022*, guests who order a Panda Cub Meal and keep a copy of their receipt can enter for the chance to win big. Eligible participants in the U.S. and Canada can visit www.EmbraceYourInnerPanda.com to enter for a chance to win prizes valued between $188 and $10,000, as well as learn more about the official rules, free method of entry and detailed prize descriptions. One grand prize winner will receive a $10,000 education fund, eight first prize winners will receive a year’s supply of Panda Cub Meals and an exclusive gift basket with gear from Panda Express and “Turning Red,” and eight second prize winners will receive a $100 check and $88 Panda Express gift card.

To further champion the upcoming “Turning Red” release on Disney+, Panda worked with Disney and Pixar to create an exclusive “Turning Red” packaging and sticker sheet (while supplies last) that comes with the purchase of a Panda Cub Meal. In 2021, Panda introduced the new Panda Cub Meals, created based on the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) dietary recommendations for children. Staying on top of the latest in nutrition science, Panda Cub Meals are approved by the National Restaurant Association’s Kids LiveWell™ Program. Each of the three set meals offers an excellent source of fiber, at least 11 grams of protein, one serving of fruit, and comes with Treetop Apple Crisps as well as a choice of water or juice.

Disney and Pixar’s “Turning Red” introduces Mei Lee (voice of Rosalie Chiang), a confident, dorky 13-year-old torn between staying her mother’s dutiful daughter and the chaos of adolescence. Her protective, if not slightly overbearing mother, Ming (voice of Sandra Oh), is never far from her daughter—an unfortunate reality for the teenager. As if changes to her interests, relationships, and body weren’t enough, whenever she gets too excited (which is practically ALWAYS), she “poofs” into a giant red panda! Directed by Academy Award® winner Domee Shi (Pixar short “Bao”) and produced by Lindsey Collins, “Turning Red” streams exclusively on Disney+ beginning March 11, 2022.
