Coronado Springs – A Must Stay Resort!

August 3, 2021

Looking to stay at a fabulous Disney resort with a beautiful Spanish and Southwest America theme? Then you definitely need to check out the unique charm of Disney’s Coronado Springs!

My family of four just returned from a short stay at the Coronado. It was truly a magical and beautiful resort! After an enjoyable day at the park, we checked out the resort pools. First, we checked out the “Dig Site” area of the resort. The Dig Site is home to the Lost City of Cibola Pool and features a 50-foot replica of a Mayan pyramid. This area of the Coronado also includes the largest outdoor hot tub on Disney property!

When visiting this area of the resort, also be sure to check out the poolside drinks and food. Siestas Cantina is located right next to the pool and offers American fare and is considered “quick service.” Our teenage boys went for their regular (and always kid-friendly)choice of chicken tenders, but we ordered the Pretzel Bites and the Crispy Grouper Tacos. The tacos were absolutely amazing! If you’re looking for some adult drinks, be sure to check out their drink menu!

If you’re trying to stay away from the crowds, you should definitely check out one of the three leisure pools. We were fortunate to have one right outside our room, and it was the perfect (and quiet!) way to end our day. Even better, there was a laundry facility right next to the pool. We were able to relax in the water after a fun and hot day and get some laundry taken care of. (If you’re looking to do laundry during your stay, I always find it’s best to bring detergent from home. The machines take credit cards, so there’s no need to bring coins.)

Another stop my boys have to make at any resort is to check out the Disney snacks! We checked out the El Mercado de Coronado and found some yummy treats, including a delicious S’mores Brownie. Is your stay at a Disney resort really complete if you don’t try some of the magical treats?

If you’re looking for a moderate resort with some Spanish and Southwest American charm, be sure to check out Disney’s Coronado Springs. Don’t forget to check for any discounts, especially if you’re a Florida resident or Annual Passholder!
