It’s official–Robert Downey Jr. no longer follows his Marvel Cinematic Universe co-stars on Instagram. As pointed out by fans online who took to Twitter to share their confusion, Downey has apparently moved beyond hearting and commenting on his former MCU co-stars’ posts.

It’s worth noting that we’re not entirely sure who all Robert Downey Jr. had been following on social media prior to the recent development that he no longer follows his former co-stars from the MCU. Although, we can say with confidence he does not follow a single one of them at this moment–and the internet can’t handle it!

Additionally, it’s been reported that Downey has also changed his profile picture. His main image used to be a picture of himself as Iron Man, who he portrayed on the big screen for a decade. However, now it’s just an image of Downey as himself.

As shared by Comicbook, it’s been reported in the past that Downey does not spend any time on social media. In fact, it was believed that his long-time assistant Jimmy Rich handled all of his online accounts up until the time of his death earlier this year.

At this time, it is not known who runs Downey’s social media accounts or exactly why his Instagram officially unfollowed his former MCU co-stars. Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, it can be said that Downey has since moved on from his role as Iron Man as he has already been cast in new projects, which are not associated with the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Maybe the star has finally decided to move on beyond this (Iron Man) character and focus on his future roles in his acting career?

What are your thoughts on Robert Downey Jr. unfollowing his Marvel Cinematic Universe co-stars? Let us know in the comments!
