Disneyland Adds a No Profanity Towards CM’s Rule Ahead of Reopening

April 18, 2021

We are living in uncertain times to say the least. Walt Disney World reopened with new safety protocols in place last summer, rules that are strongly enforced.  Lately, there have been many instances of guests carrying on or shouting at Cast Members, I have seen it myself quite a few times and it’s very disheartening to witness.

Cast Members are enforcing the safety precautions because it’s their job to, there is no reason that they should have profanity directed at them. It ought be common sense and courtesy, right? Well, Disneyland is opening at the end of the month and they added a new policy on their site. One that I feel is really a shame that they need to spell out. Here is the verbiage-

Disney reserves the right to require a Guest to leave if they are (i) not properly wearing an approved face covering, (ii) using profanity or offensive language towards our Cast Members or other Guests and/or (iii) violating any other Park Rules.

Given this unprecedented situation, we appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we navigate through this process as responsibly as we can. Additional measures and procedures may be announced closer to the opening date.

Here at Walt Disney World, they previously added that you will be asked to leave if you don’t comply with the safety guidelines. Will they add the “no swearing at CM’s” rule too? Time will tell. I fully understand that the Parks aren’t quite the same as before the pandemic. However, maybe if people would realize that some Disney is better than none (think back to last Spring) they would show a bit more patience and grace. A little kindness goes a long way!

Cast Members are the magic makers at the various Disney Parks, and I hope that people keep that in mind and that this situation gets better soon. Best of luck to the Cast Members on the reopening of Disneyland on April 30th! Thank you for all that you do!

Stay tuned for more updates as we see them.
