Happy Wednesday everyone and Happy New Year! It’s our first check in for 2020! Wow… the 20’s, can you believe it? I hope you all had a good Christmas vacation, we sure did! Let’s talk about it, shall we?

As most of you know, my family and I went back home to Michigan for Christmas. I’ve never missed a Christmas in Michigan since we moved to Florida almost six years ago! We have our tradition of going to Frankenmuth and visiting Bronners Christmas store. If you’ve never been there, it’s amazing and worth the trip! We also visit family, friends and of course our favorite food places that we miss. Ah yes, Michigan food. I even wrote about that in my book, it’s hard to find good Chinese food and pizza in Florida so we do a Michigan foodie tour every year!

Another big (or little) reason I was ready to go home to visit is my sweet nephew. My “baby shark” as I call him, who I miss a lot. Scott and I have already been introducing him to Disney things, obviously.  He got a new Buzz Lightyear from us for Christmas among other things, but he really loved his new Buzz.  Christmas Eve was at my parents house and we got to see the whole family. While home I also squeezed in a girls night which was much needed and took my parents to see The Rise of Skywalker. It was nice but our visit went by so fast!

Once we got back to Florida, we had plans right away. Our friends (and staffers) Corey & LaKresha were in town and invited us to go to Epcot for New Year’s Eve with them. We had never done that before so we were game to go try it out. There were various dance parties around the park including one with DJ Elliot. At midnight there was a countdown and a beautiful fireworks finale that lit up World Showcase. The park was packed but wasn’t too much, we had a good time. Of course, Disney does a great job, I’m glad we went.

Christmas vacation flew by and before we knew it, it was back to school and work. This week so far has been busy. On Monday I got to see a behind the scenes look at the new Cirque show coming to Disney Springs, Drawn to Life. Honestly I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about this new addition but after hearing all about the storyline, I’m excited. I was also told that Rapunzel is in it, so that’s a bonus for me right there. Also this week we announced the exciting news that TMSM Live on Location is moving this month to Disney Springs. This truly is a big deal for our monthly show. Being that our main topic is Disney it only made sense to move the show over to property and Disney Springs was excited to have us so it all worked out. This months show is at Maria and Enzo’s on January 26th. Grab your seats on the link below, seating is limited!

This weeks update blog has been a long one, but we had a lot to catch up on. We have a lot of magical plans for TMSM for 2020 so I hope you join us. I truly appreciate you all! This year is also our ten year anniversary of the site and I know that couldn’t have happened without our amazing Main Streeters, so thank you. This journey over the past ten years has been quite a ride, but I’m truly grateful. The sky is the limit, so stay tuned! Until next time, sending you lots of love, blessings and pixie dust. See ya real soon! -M
