There are a lot of new, exciting additions coming to both Walt Disney World and Disneyland that will be sure to light up your day or night! Besides the obvious additions and changes to the parks, some new food and beverage options have started popping that are causing quite a stir in the parks and on social media pages nationwide.

One of Disney’s most delicious treats is the churro. Fried dough topped with cinnamon and sugar, let’s face it, you can’t go wrong. But Disney took it a step further recently when lightsaber churros came on the scene. Yes, a lightsaber churro. While the churro is the standard Disney churro, guests now have a choice of Sith or Jedi (red or blue for those that aren’t fans) churros. Since food that glows typically aren’t safe to eat, Disney instead added colored sugar and edible sparkles to the churros to give them a luminescent look. Will this now force you to try one of these tasty treats?

Cotton candy is a theme park staple. Yet again, Disney raises the bar by introducing glowing cotton candy. GLOWING! What started in Disneyland has now made its way across the country and has fans raving! Guests can choose from pink, blue, or purple swirls that sit on a flashing illuminated wand. The result is a glowing, sugary cloud of deliciousness! As an added bonus, you get the wand after the candy is gone! This is one treat I can’t wait to get my hands on!

When Pandora opened at Disney World’s Animal Kingdom, guests were excited to take in all of the sights and sounds. To add to that, there were also new treats! The Night Blossom, available at Pongu Pongu was an instant hit. The frozen beverage is a mixture of limeade and apple and desert pear flavors, layered on top of one another and topped with passion fruit boba balls. The drink, touted as the most Instagrammable theme park drink to date, is available in a standard plastic cup or a souvenir glass that has a glowing ‘unadelta’ seed. With a mix of sweet and sour, it’s been said that the taste resembles a sour Skittle. Either way, I need to have one!
