Learn More About The Newly Re-Imagined Disney Fantasy (With Photos)
The Disney Fantasy is currently the newest ship in the Disney Cruise Line Fleet. In March we shared with you that on April 29, she would be going into dry dock in Freeport for some re-imagining and that once the work was completed the ship would have new Star Wars and Marvel themed spaces, new shopping which would include a Disney Cruise Line exclusive Tiffany & Co., and a new ice cream/sweet shop.
The newly imagined Fantasy left port with guests for the first time on May 18 and I am excited to share that my friends Ali K. and Main Streeter (and my SWDAS dining buddies) Chica P. were on board the inaugural sailing of the newly re-imagined Fantasy. These wonderful folks have given me permission to share photos with you of some of the fun new spaces the ship has to offer guests of all ages.
The new Marvel Super Hero Academy and Star Wars: Command Post areas in the Oceaneers Club are amazing. Children 3-12 can play in the Oceaneers Club for free all day under the supervision of trained CMs. Children 18+ don’t have to feel left out, they can tour the Oceaneers Club during Open House noted in thei ship’s Navigator. Chicka P. was able to visit during today’s Open House and take these amazing photos!
“Sweet on You” is the new Mickey themed candy and ice cream parlor (additional cost) replaces the ship’s arcade and as you can see it is adorable! I mean who can say no to those new Mickey and Minnie pants sundae bowls?
As I mentioned earlier the hot tubs in the family pool area have been replaced by something a bit more practical for a family area. The new splash zone looks so fun and the glass bottom lets you look right down to the lifeboats one deck below! (Don’t worry adults the Cove hot tubs are safe!)
