2016 marks the 25th Anniversary of the Disney Vacation Club. In anticipation of this big anniversary DVC announced a long list of special member events and offers today.
Throughout the year DVC will be holding special “Signature Events” (exclusive parties) for Members and their guests. Admission to these events are complimentary, but Members must have their DVC Membership card and photo ID to enter them.
Disney Vacation Club 25 and Beyond Bash
This event will be held at the Magic Kingdom on February 25 and March 3, 2016 from 9:30 PM to midnight. Members and guests may enter the park at 7:30 PM. The event will give Members access to select attractions in Fantasyland and Tomorrowland and the Haunted Mansion. There will be a DJ Dance Party and light refreshment.
- For Members with a reservation at a Disney Resort hotel, party size is limited to the Member and up to the number of guests listed on their Disney Resort hotel reservation.
- For Members without a reservation at a Disney Resort hotel, party size is limited to the Member and up to 5 guests.
- A reservation is required. Bookings will begin on Tuesday, January 12, 2016. Call Member Services at (800) 800-9800† to make reservations.
Disney Vacation Club Neighborhood Beach Bash Similar to last summer’s special DVC Member event this event will be held at Typhoon Lagoon on June 23, June 29, July 6 and July 13, 2016 from 9:30 PM to 12:30 AM. Members will have access to select attractions, there will be activities, games, light refreshments and a DJ Dance Party.
- Members and up to the number of Guests staying in their Disney Resort hotel accommodations.
- A reservation is required, and bookings will begin on Friday, April 8, 2016.
Disney Vacation Club Safari Spectacular
Very few details were released on this event, but with the new “Rivers of Light” show starting this spring, one can only hope a special viewing will be held for members. This nighttime event at Animal Kingdom will be held 9/6, 9/13, 9/22 and 9/27/16 from 9:30 PM to midnight.
- A reservation is required, and bookings will begin on July 6, 2016.
Merry Member Mixers 2016
The yearly Merry Member Mixer to Epcot on select days during the holiday season. Members will get to meet Disney Characters in holiday costumes, enjoy complimentary treats and rock out to a holiday DJ. Dates and times have yet to be announced.
At “Home” Special Events and Perks
Special Attention:
To enhance resort stays starting in the spring members staying at DVC resorts will have a special Advisor that will “provide you with their individual extension. So whenever you need additional help planning your vacation, a familiar voice is just a phone call away.”
Anniversary Photos:
Members can even visit special photo kiosks to “pose for a photo, customize it with Disney Vacation Club designs, print it and take it home.”

Of course NO Disney celebration is complete without merchandise! Coming later this month 25th anniversary MagicBands, ear hats, apparel and more! Members visiting Disney locations during 2016 can present their Membership card at a kiosk to receive a special DVC 25th Anniversary button!

Member Lounge:
The fun doesn’t stop at special parties! A new member lounge will be opening in Epcot in the Imagination Pavilion. The lounge will offer members a chance to sit down, enjoy some wi-fi and complimentary soft drinks and more. An exact opening date was not announced,
Party in the Big Apple:
DVC is not just limiting the celebration to the Disney Parks. The already sold-out 2016 DVC Member Cruise out of New York City and Adventures by Disney event will see special yet to be announced fun. Also, those in New York City on 10/2/16 can attend a special DVC showing of Aladdin on Broadway, ticket information is coming soon! DVC will be holding other unannounced events in New York City throughout October.
New Member ID Cards:
DVC will be sending Members new Membership cards starting this month that celebrate the 25th Anniversary.
