Disney Corrects Previously Announced WDW Christmas Castle Lighting Information and Announces New Party Events

dtnemail-MVMCP_2015-a35d2Last week Disney released information regarding the Walt Disney World Christmas events, and part of that information included the following
“Castle Dream Lights on Cinderella Castle
As a gift to Cinderella, the Fairy Godmother waves her wand, and with a bibbidi-bobbidi-boo enchants the castle with sparkling white lights. Magnificent icicles seem to form instantly over the parapets and towers of the royal palace, as the lights wink and shimmer to a medley of heartwarming Disney tunes.”

A day later, very quietly and without any fanfare they corrected themselves. It seems that Elsa WILL be hosting this year’s castle lighting. Disney stated that “The article has been updated with the correct information. We sincerely apologize for the confusion.”

Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade
It’s a holiday parade brimming with cheer! Gingerbread men, elves and others dance down Main Street, U.S.A. with favorite Disney Characters. Plus, Santa joins in the fun to wish Guests a “Merry Christmas!” from his colorful sleigh!

Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season
Brilliant white lights explode in the air above Cinderella Castle in this breathtaking music and fireworks show.

A Frozen Holiday Wish
A Frozen Holiday Wish: featuring Anna and Elsa in a holiday exclusive show on the Castle Forecourt Stage. With special appearances by rugged mountain man Kristoff and lovable snowman Olaf, the show culminates in Queen Elsa using her incredible powers to present a gift to everyone in the kingdom, transforming Cinderella Castle into a glimmering ice palace for the holidays.
*As a reminder the Castle Lighting occurs nightly through the Holiday season, you should consult MDE for times.

A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas!
Buzz Lightyear, Mike Wazowski and Stitch fight holiday doldrums across the galaxy in this jolly musical revue chock full of the coolest dance numbers. New this year, the acclaimed contemporary a cappella group VoicePlay bring their amazing talents to the Rockettower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland. VoicePlay, who appeared on the TV show “The Sing-Off,” combine incredible vocal harmonies and an inventive “music without music” sound to create an unforgettable holiday concert experience. Give them a listen between performances of “A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas.”

Club Tinsel
In Tomorrowland, Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café becomes Club Tinsel for the evening when Phineas and Ferb show up, and that’s not all!

Celebrate the Season Show
‘Tis the season to give gifts, and Mickey’s present to Minnie is not to be missed! Goofy, Donald and others get into the holiday spirit with their own version of The Nutcracker in this jubilant musical spectacle
