TMSM’s Adventures in Florida Living ~ Ups and Downs!

Happy Wednesday! It’s time for our weekly Florida Living check in! Things are crazy busy here, as you can imagine, between the Food and Wine Fest going on, and getting ready for our big meet up next week! We’re exhausted! So, let’s catch up, shall we?

As you know, we don’t get a lot of company down here, as most of our friends and family in particular, live far away. Well, last Thursday night, we headed out to Epcot to the Food and Wine Fest, because my friend Holly and her husband were in town. The boys hadn’t been to the festival yet, so they were excited to go check things out, plus see Holly too. We had a nice visit, and the kids got to sample a few items from the festival. Aidan tried the ravioli in Italy, and Andrew had the shrimp rolls in Japan. I’m still dieting, so I only had the frozen Italian margarita, but it was pretty good! Even though our visit was short, it was nice to see friends and catch a break. I need that every so often, that’s why I can’t wait till next weekend, to have a house full of friends and have some fun.

The weekend was crazy at Disney. It seems like the Parks were overly crowded for some reason, so we didn’t go. That’s ok though, because we have so much to do here to keep us busy. My job isn’t a 9 to 5 gig. It’s morning till bedtime, believe it or not. Between the site, magazine and social media interaction, it’s constant, even on weekends. We take time out though for the kids, to have family dinners and outings, because it’s important. Sometimes I get burnt out, and need a break too. I’d say from Sunday, till yesterday, I sort of gave myself a much needed time out. I did my work and scheduling, then got away from the computer. It gets overwhelming every so often, and yes, even I have my moments where I need to regroup. Don’t we all get that way though? You can almost hear Elsa in your head, shouting “Enough!” but minus the throwing of ice everywhere. We’re all human, and we all have times when we’re down and could use some extra encouragement. Ups and downs are expected, but they sure to stink, don’t they? I’m feeling a bit better now. Heck, I don’t have time to be blue, I have a meet up in a week and a half, and friends coming to town! That’ll cheer me up!

So, that’s it for this week’s update. My gosh, I have too much to do and so little time to do it. This time next week, I’ll have my house torn apart getting ready to have house guests, and preparing for our meet up at the Magic Kingdom. It still amazes me that we have such a strong TMSM community, big enough to where so many come out for the gatherings. No matter how discouraged I get at times, the thought of that is truly uplifting, and I’m grateful. Until next week….. sending you love, hugs, blessings and pixie dust! See ya real soon! ~M
