TMSM’s Adventures in Florida Living ~ Pumpkins and Geeks

Hey Main Streeters! It’s time for our weekly check in! As I’m sure you’ve seen, because I’ve been posting like crazy, the Magic Kingdom is all decked out for Fall and Halloween. I’ve been waiting for this, as I really enjoy all the fun decorations. The Mickey Mouse pumpkins especially, which I would love to duplicate for my front door! We went over last Thursday morning while the kids were at school to get pics, and had a really fun morning checking things out. Heck, we even got picked for the hashtag photos during the Move It Shake It parade! How great is that? Just that few hours to get pics and such was nice, we just have to watch the clock to make it to the school pick up line in time!

So, we have had a great time checking out the Halloween fun this past week. We also got in touch with our Geek side last weekend, for Force Friday at Downtown Disney. Ok, I have to be honest. I didn’t know what Force Friday was all about, I just went along with it. Our friends from Jacksonville were in town, so we met them at DTD to check out the new Star Wars merchandise. The new items were pretty cool! I was the only girl in the group, and I’m not a “huge” Star Wars fan, so I felt a bit outnumbered, but not in a bad way. They like to tease me because I don’t have a Geek side. I was told I needed to work on that before the new movie comes out in December! We did however get some fun Star Wars frozen drinks from Starbucks that evening, so I was happy about that! I’ll write more about our experience in my next “Disney in the City” magazine article, so stay tuned, it will be fun!

The weather has been rainy, and I’m sad that I missed the final weekend for the Frozen Fireworks. Yes, Frozen Summer Fun wrapped up on Monday night, and I have to say, I’ll miss it. The Frozen Fireworks were beautiful. Until you see them, you may not understand how great they are. Sure, Frozen is a little played out, but man, those fireworks were spectacular. My friend Holly even cried when we went to see them a few weeks ago, as she had only seen them on Periscope when I previously filmed them. So, I missed that final time, but I’m glad I was able to go a few times this Summer. The Summer months went by so fast, but I’m looking forward to what the Fall has to offer. Still getting used to that back to school schedule though!

Well that’s if for this weeks update. I appreciate you keeping up with us each week! Your feedback is awesome and always so important to me, so thank you for that! Until next week…. sending you lots of blessings, hugs and pixie dust! See ya real soon! ~M
