Are you looking to purchase something from the Disney Parks, but are stuck at home? Do you want the item now, won’t be at Walt Disney World any time soon and don’t want to play with personal shoppers who raise prices, charge fees and inflate shipping while breaking those pesky rules that state items bought with an Annual Pass discount, or while in the park on your Annual Pass aren’t for resale? Are you a Disney Vacation Club member, or do you have an Annual Pass and want to use your discount? Well Main Streeters, Disney finally has a solution to these problems! Today it was announced on the Disney Parks Blog that the new “Shop Disney Parks” mobile app is officially available for download in your app store!
“Shop Disney Parks” will lets you search its thousands of Walt Disney Resorts items by name, sku (if you have it) or you can scroll through general categories like “Home & Decor”, “Characters” and more to find tons of items you may want to purchase from home. New items will be added weekly giving you a reason to scroll through its offerings frequently. Currently only items from Walt Disney World are available, but we here at TMSM hope to see Disneyland and Disney Cruise Line items added soon. This new app is currently only available in the US for iPhone, iPad and Android smartphones.
Currently the app allows you to have items shipped directly to your home, but the Parks Blog noted that in the future guests will be able to have items delivered to the front of the parks for pickup and to their Disney resort hotel. Another neat feature is that when you log into “Shop Disney Parks” using your My Disney Experience login the system will honor your Annual Passholder and Disney Vacation Club discounts. The Parks Blog noted in it’s comment section that they are working on Disney Rewards Visa being added to this as well in the future.
Remember if an item isn’t available in the app you can always call Disney’s Merchandise line directly at 877-560-6477, fax them at 407-352-6369 or email them at [email protected]. Their hours are Monday through Friday 9 am to 5:30 pm ET. Describe the item as well as you can, or email them a picture, and where you saw the item (park, land, shop etc.) and they will do their best to help you out! This option also works for merchandise from Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line and Aulani that you want to purchase from home!
