Happy Wednesday Main Streeters! I hope you’re all doing well, and that you’re ready for this weeks Florida Living Update! Things have been so busy here, but busy is good, right? It’s funny because it seems like we go for weeks without having extra things to do, then it all hits at once! We have had a lot of fun covering events for Off TMSM, plus getting our Disney fix too! Lets catch up!

So, remember last week when I told you that we were covering media events over at the I-Drive 360 complex, the Orlando Eye, etc? Let me repeat myself by saying, the Orlando Eye is amazing. My gosh, to be up 400 feet above the ground, and to be able to see ALL my favorite locations in the same area, was just outstanding. My boys were disappointed because they’d been watching the progress of the wheel too, and really wanted to go on it. I told them all about our experience, and told them that there was a news crew there talking to people as they got off the wheel. They news reporter spoke to me and one of my staff members, Janel, but we didn’t know it we would get chosen to be on the news that evening. The camera man told me they spoke to like 40 groups of people that day, so there was a chance, but we didn’t know how much of one. We watched the Local 6 News that night, hoping we’d make the cut. The kids were excited to see the coverage of the Orlando Eye, and were hoping to maybe get a glimpse of their mom on tv. Well, low and behold, we DID get chosen and saw ourselves on the news. It sounds silly, but we were super excited, the kids were jumping around, etc. It’s the little things that really get them going, and this was one of them. We recorded the broadcast and played it back to record it. I was able to show my parents in Michigan too, which was exciting. Sure, to some it’s just the news, but we were grateful that they used our footage. I attached the video below it you’d like to see two of your TMSM staffers in action!

Well, after all of that excitement for Off TMSM was done, we needed some Disney time for sure. Friday evening, we headed to Downtown Disney to watch the new Avengers Age of Ultron movie that had just come out. This is the first time since moving to Florida that we’ve actually taken the time to go see a movie! The boys and hubby thoroughly enjoyed the film, lots of action and such, it kept them entertained. After the movie, we went into the new Super Hero Headquarters store that had just open on the West Side of DTD. It’s all Marvel themed, so it went with the evening!

Saturday evening we went to the Magic Kingdom for a few hours. It’s nice living so close to Disney, we’re able to just stop in to the Parks for a shorter period of time, it doesn’t have to be an all day event. It was pretty crowded so we didn’t stick around, we ended up leaving and going out for Mexican food! On Sunday, we went to the “dark side” as Disney Fans call it, Universal Studios! We really enjoy it there, the Harry Potter areas alone are worth the price of admission! It was our own TMSM Avenger’s birthday, and Universal was where he wanted to go! Being that we had somewhat of a Marvel themed weekend, the boys in my house wanted to go to Marvel Island at Islands of Adventure, so it all fit together. We’ve been so busy with work lately, it was nice to get out and have a little fun!

After the weekend was over, my friend Holly was in town, and we went to Paradiso 37 at Downtown Disney with the kids, then had breakfast with her and her daughter at Coronado Springs for Cinco De Mayo! It’s been crazy busy for us for a couple of weeks now, and next week looks to be busy too. I know that even though we’re tired, we’re still living the dream down here in Florida, so I can’t complain. We’re blessed, and I need to remind myself of that more often when I’m feeling a bit burned out. Yes, even I lose my perky attitude and am ready to crash at times…… but I’m working on it.
