Last month we announced the new 2015 New Balance runDisney shoes would be Steamboat Willie and come in model number 990v3. On 1/6 a runner tweeted New Balance about the lack of color in this year’s shoe line up and New Balance replied with the somewhat vague response “we are planning some exciting surprises for 2015. Stay tuned.”
That tweet had many of us wondering what surprises New Balance would be throwing at us through out the year. Today we know at least ONE of those surprises! There will be TWO Steamboat Willie inspired models of 2015 runDisney New Balance shoes offered at the 2015 Princess Marathon Expo next weekend starting on 2/19. The new 860v5 will be joining the original 990v3’s which were released at the Disney World Marathon Expo at the New Balance expo booth.
As we mentioned Tuesday New Balance will be using their Virtual Queue at the Princess Marathon Expo. Runners can sign up at online using their bib number starting 2/19 at 6:00 AM, and all other guests can sign up on 2/20 & 2/21. The runDisney Health & Fitness Expo will be held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex 2/19-2/21/15. The Expo is open to everyone. Expo hours will be:Thursday(2/19)10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.; Friday (2/20)9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m; Saturday (2/21) 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
