From the Disney Insider Blog, information regarding the “Frozen Fun” at Disney’s California Adventure
Here in Southern California, the sunshine never wavers, but that won’t stop Disneyland from freezing over this winter. For a limited time beginning January 7, Disney California Adventure will open up the gates to the spectacular new “Frozen Fun,” an offering that promises to bring Frozen fiends their fix with a flurry of all-new, immersive experiences.
Frozen Fun is an open door to magical adventures with Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff and more. The new events at Disney California Adventure will include:
For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration
This show takes place in Hollywood Land, where the Muppet*Vision 3D theater has been transformed into Arendelle’s Crown Jewel Theatre, hosting the hilarious Arendelle Historians, Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff as they retell their kingdom’s history (and invite audiences to sing-along).
Olaf’s Snow Fest
Do you want to build a snowman? Then Stage 17 in Hollywood Land is about to make you smile: You’ll find a giant snow play area, a snow slide, musical performances by The Frolicking Fjords and The Tubadors, and you can even visit Olaf and give him a warm hug!
Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post
Big winter blowout, anyone? Pick up the latest Frozen-inspired apparel and toys right outside Olaf’s Snow Fest.
Anna and Elsa’s Royal Welcome
Our favorite sisters will move from Fantasyland into a new home inside Disney Animation at Disney California Adventure. Stop by for a royal greeting and to check out their beautiful new display in Animation Courtyard, or learn how to draw Olaf or Marshmallow with a Disney artist at Animation Academy.
Freeze the Night! A Family Dance Party
Hollywood Land will help you “chill out” each evening with music, dancing, and more family-friendly fun. Wintry decor, dazzling lighting effects, cool photo spots, yummy treats, and frosty beverages await.
If the prospect of waiting for January 7 to experience all the Frozen Fun is too much for you to handle, there’s hope: a sneak peak of many of these exciting experiences begins Saturday, December 20!
A new Frozen show will also debut on January 7 in Fantasy Faire at Disneyland, featuring the Royal Theatre’s resident storytellers as they retell the story of Frozen with Anna, Elsa, and the Faire Maidens. When daily performances of Mickey’s Soundsational Parade resume on the same day, Anna and Elsa will once again make pre-parade appearances on their own float. You can also visit the Storybook Land Canal Boats to see charming new views of the fjord-side village of Arendelle, including Anna and Elsa’s home castle, Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post, and Elsa’s ice palace.
For Frozen fans who want to extend these new offerings into a full day of chilly fun, there’s also Olaf’s Frozen Ice Rink (through February 22, 2015) and Anna & Elsa’s Boutique, both open now at Downtown Disney District.
