I’ve said it before, I live in a family full of Star Wars fans. All 3 of my children are borderline obsessed! My younglings are 3, 7, and 13. Usually my kids lean towards the dark side, but when I showed them these Princess Leia cupcakes they all said “COOL” in synchronization. Then the next comment was, “So when are you going to make them?”. Well given that these cupcakes look super simple to make, I think I will be making them fairly soon.
I found these cupcakes on justjennrecipes.com and I really like her style. They look so cute and are easy to make. As you can imagine, having 3 kids around makes life kind of hectic, so easy to make goodies are high up on my list. So if you are ready to use the Force, then let’s get started.

Ingredients:

Cupcakes
Cream cheese frosting
Black icing
Heart sprinkles
Oreos

Instructions:

Spread a flat layer of cream cheese frosting on the cupcake.
With a #4 tip and black icing, start one side of the hair first, from the center down. (We are going for a middle part, here.) Add the other side of the hair and then add the eyes.
Place a little heart sprinkle for the lips.
For the hair buns, use icing to stick Oreos to the sides of the cupcake liner. To get rid of the ‘white line’ i.e. creamy center, simply run a thin layer of black frosting down the center of each Oreo.
