Random Acts of Kindness Thursday ~ Thank You Disney Cast Members!

cmthankyou

It’s Thursday, so it’s time for our weekly feel good blog focusing on Random Acts of Kindness with a Disney twist! This week, I want to once again talk about Disney Cast Members. Yesterday on our Facebook page, we asked Main Streeters to share special stories about experiences with Cast Members, and the response was overwhelming. I decided to grab a few of the entries to share with you all, in case you missed it. Here’s a few of my favorites~

Dylan S~ I can honestly say I have never had a bad experience with a cast member.
The sheer amount of bad behavior they have to put up with from some guests I have seen emphasizes one thing I hear over and over about cast members – They REALLY love their jobs.

Wendy J~ A big thank you to all the CMs who have gone To Infinity and Beyond to make our vacations amazing! Thanks for letting my daughters take their time to look at all of your pins….again, thanks for giving my youngest another Mickey bar when she dropped it right after she opened it, thank you for greeting my daughters as princesses over the years, thanks for scaring us when we walked out of the Haunted Mansion resulting in great big belly laughs for my entire family, and for hundreds of other magical memories we will always cherish! You are appreciated!

Rosemary B~ My husband & I honeymooned at Disney World in 1980. DVC members since 1993. Our home is Disney’s Old Key West where many magical memories were made. Our trip was planned in advance but by hubby passed away May, 2013. My son & I decided PaPa would want us to go, just 2 weeks after his death. When checking in we were asked are you celebrating anything special? Tears flowed as I told our story. The next day a beautiful white Mickey basket filled with fruits, candies & fun…passes for our ride of choice. Thank you Disney’s Old Key West Resort cast members for your kindness. My son rode Space Mountain & I Spaceship Earth, still making memories!

Sally T~ I have many stories I could tell about cast members making our trips extra special! Mickey getting down on one knee when he saw my then 3 year old daughter running to him with open arms! Then, a few years later when Snow White made my 6 year old son her Prince for the day! The nurse helping my daughter when she was around 10 when her asthma started to bother her! We have always felt welcomed and safe, and I thank all the cast members that make that possible!

Meghan D~ Thanks to all the CMs who make each and every visit to WDW magical for my son and I. He has had a rough road since health wise since birth (16wks premature) and Disney served as his escape from doctors and hospital visits for a few years. Now, he lives for the Disney Magic and gets more excited with each trip we take (our next one is Dec 14). Looking forward to the many “Welcome Homes” and “Have a magical days.” Disney CMs truly make the magic in the parks happen. Thanks for everything!

Will S~ Thanks to all the Disney Cast Members who have made our family vacations even more special. NEVER had a bad experience at a Disney park and the Cast Member are a huge part of that. Always so nice and helpful. Walt would be proud of all of you and your dedication to making the Disney parks a special place for all visitors. Everyone from the people keeping the park clean to the managers are all very kind and knowledgeable. You should be proud of yourselves.

These are just a FEW of the over 430 responses we got in regards to how wonderful Cast Members are, that’s amazing! I know we have a lot of Disney Cast Members that follow us here at TMSM, and I just want you to know how much you all are appreciated, and I thank you for your support! Till next week….. make someone smile, share some Disney Magic, and be kind to each other! Hugs! ~M
