Pumpkin Carving is a skill. Growing up, there really wasn’t much detail put into carving where I grew up. You cut the top open, pulled out the guts, seperated the pumpkin seeds to bake later for a snack. Carve the simple face of 2 eyes, a nose and mouth and then cut a little v out of the top for the heat to escape from the candle.
Now it’s amazing. People carve and smooth out the sides, but don’t go all the way through. They can create intricate designs and it’s amazing. I would love to learn how to do this and someday I will. For now I will just admire other’s work.
We have a video to share from the Disney Parks blog of the Pumpkin Carvers at Disneyland. What they do is awesome and I hope you enjoy them. Please feel free to share your pumpkin carving pictures in the comments below and on social media, we would love to see what you created.
