Starting originally with eight character (including Mickey, Minnie, Cinderella, Bambi, Thumper, Tigger, Pooh, and Ariel) the itty bittys family has expanded to over 50 collectable options. The itty bittys collection include licensed characters from Disney, Marvel, Wizard of Oz, Star Wars, DC Comics and more. itty bittys are released in several “editions”, there are open edition series, some limited editions which are available only for a limited time and often sell out quickly and holiday editions available for short periods of time in limited quantities. Per Hallmark they have “sold more than 1 million itty bittys in the United States and have increased production to keep up with retail demand.”
They have even released a new “itty bittys Play Tote” for $19.95. The tote is a fabric backpack with slots on the outside of the bag allowing kids to display their itty bitttys while transporting them, then they can unzip the bag to create a playground for the itty bittys to play on! When I saw it at my local Hallmark recently I had to open it up and play with it some as you can see.
itty bittys are sold by Hallmark Gold Crown stores in the US and are $6.95 for individual itty bittys, and collector sets that come with four itty bittys are $29.95, In collector sets one of the four is only available to buy in the set, for example Belle can only be purchased in the Disney Princess Collector Set. Coming soon to the itty bittys line up will be Anna, Elsa, and Dory from Finding Nemo as we announced on our Facebook page recently.
