Cinderella Castle’s Mosaic ~ By Elly Collins

The mosaic murals at Cinderella Castle are lovely. They tell Cinderella’s story of finding true love.

There are five mosaic murals that line the wall along the corridor that passes through the Cinderella Castle, each measuring fifteen feet high and ten feet wide.

The mosaic murals took over one million hand cut and shaped pieces of glass, bits of real gold and silver, and numerous “jewels” to complete. More than 500 glass colors were used in the designs and the entire process took almost two years to complete.  It is the crown jewel of Disney World.
