On April 8, 2008 at Disneyland Park, Disney Management including Marty Sklar, present Julie Andrews with a special carousel horse on King Arthur’s Carousel. Jingles, the lead carousel horse, commemorates Andrews’ service as a theme park ambassador during the 50th anniversary. Also it’s in recognition of her 44 years of contributions to the Disney company.
Julie Andrews, who played the title role of Mary Poppins, rode a carousel horse in the film. Jingles, the carousel horse, features a hand-painted, colorful jewel-tone palette including embellishments of gold leaf horseshoes. During the ceremony, Julie Andrews was presented a one of a kind miniature replica of Jingles.
I found this short video on Youtube from the ceremony.
