Disney Launches Start-up Accelerator Program

From the Disney Interactive Blog.  Today The Walt Disney Company announced that it will select ten startup companies to be a part of Disney Accelerator, a three-month mentorship and see-stage investment program based in Los Angeles and powered by Techstars.


As part of the accelerator, participants will receive $120,000 in investment capital and develop their ideas along with mentor support from Chairman and CEO Bob Iger and other Disney executives including Disney Interactive’s Jimmy Pitaro, Brooke Chaffin and Mike White.top Disney executives including Chairman and CEO Bob Iger and Disney Interactive President Jimmy Pitaro, Senior Vice President Brooke Chaffin and Chief Technology Officer Mike White.
