Malcolm Smith is Going to Walt Disney World

February 3, 2014

Yesterday, the Seattle Seahawks dominated Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII.  The Seahawks were unstoppable last night, scoring on Offense, Defense and Special teams.  Seahawks “Legion of Boom” stopped one of the greatest Quarterbacks of all time in the biggest game of the year.

One thing I read today, at the end of the game the Seattle Seahawks were surrounded by Security Guards in orange jackets, and that was the only time all night anyone in orange stopped the Seahawks.

Malcolm Smith won the honor of being the MVP of the game.  Smith’s highlight of the night was his 69-yard interception he returned for a touchdown.  So in addition to winning the Super Bowl, scoring a touchdown after a interception, winning the MVP Malcolm Smith then got to star in a Disney commercial.Depending on the region the commercial airs, the you will see Malcolm eithe say “I’m Going to Disney World!” or “I’m Going to Disneyland!”).  Malcolm is also the NFL’s first defensive player to star in the commercial.  Here is the Walt Disney version:

So what’s next for Malcolm Smith’s? Magic Kingdom Park, to make good on his post-game proclamation. Current plans (subject to change) call for a celebratory parade through the park on Monday afternoon (parade time TBD, pending final travel details from New York/New Jersey).

Also, there is another special twist to the iconic commercial this year. In a “Frozen first,” Idina Menzel, who voiced Elsa in Disney’s Academy Award®-nominated film “Frozen” and on the hit soundtrack, sings the classic song, “When You Wish Upon a Star,” to accompany the iconic ad.
