Everyday on Facebook, when I post to our Fans, I always refer to them as my Disney Family. When I say that, I truly mean it. So, what builds a Disney Family, as opposed to a regular everyday family? Well, for me, the main thing is the sharing the love of all things Disney. TMSM is a Disney Fan Site, we aren’t a News Site. Sure, we report the latest Disney News, but it goes beyond that, that’s not the main goal. The main goal of the site is to bring Disney Fans together as a happy group, to be a place where folks can share their memories, look forward to more Disney fun, and to sit together in anticipation of our future Disney trips. We can’t be at a Disney Park every day, like most, but in the meantime, we can bring you Disney Magic from the comforts of home. That’s the goal.

Today, we surpassed 100,000 Fans on Facebook. That’s an amazing accomplishment. Considering how we started out, and all we’ve gone through to get here, it’s a truly humbling and inspiring thing. It hasn’t been easy, and there have been many speed bumps along the way. There were days that I wanted to quit, to just give up. If it wasn’t for the support of our extraordinary Fans, TMSM may not have gotten this far. So, the majority of the credit for our success both here and on Social Media, is because of the fans who keep coming back every day. Thank you for inspiring me to keep going the way you do.

Life is hard, people struggle, and there are plenty of factors that can get you down. To me, Disney can help with that. Sometimes, reading something uplifting, or seeing a photo of a favorite Disney location, can put a smile on someone’s face. That is yet another goal. If I can make a difference in someone’s day, then my job is done. Sharing Fan photos is a great way to share some happiness to, thanks for sending them in! I always told myself, if one day that I gained a large fan base, or a greater reach, then I would use that platform to do good in the world. TMSM plans to give back. It’s the least I can do, considering so many have been so good to me. I’d like to dedicate a day each week to do a blog on an inspirational story, an organization for children who need help, or basically share any random acts of kindness that we can. I think we need more inspiration, more examples of the GOOD in this world, and the Magic that Disney brings to people from all walks of life.

TMSM has also gotten a large Disney Cast Member following, to which I am extremely grateful for. CM’s have sent me photos, information, helpful hints, and have shared their stories of how amazing it is to work for Disney. I can’t thank them all enough for the contributions. I also want to feature CM stories more, like the ones my CM friend Michael has sent me. Michael works in the Emporium at the Magic Kingdom, and the stories he’s shared with me have been nothing short of amazing. People like Michael, who want to bring happiness to children who are in desperate need of it, make me want to do better. So, if you have inspirational stories like Michael’s, please be sure to share them with me!

In conclusion, I just want to give a heartfelt thank you to all our supporters for reading here everyday, and for sharing the magic with your friends on our Social Media outlets. I also want to thank our incredible support staff for all the help they’ve given me. From here on out, like Walt said, we “keep moving forward” and continue to share the love of Disney in our everyday lives. The sky is the limit, and with your help, we can get there! Thanks again for everything, I’m humbled and honored that you let me share my love of Disney with you! ~Michele
