We have some more information that you might find helpful, regarding the construction and closures currently going on at Downtown Disney, WDW. We previously reported that the H ,I, J and K parking lots from Planet Hollywood west past Disney Quest have been fenced off because of the reconstruction. Our Disney Cast Member friend just informed us that the parking lot from AMC West to Disney Quest has been totally stripped down. All the trees, lighting, and concrete posts that the lights were in have been removed and the top surface of the pavement is being torn up. Because of this, each weekend evening from now through January, barricades will be placed to prevent private cars from accessing the only available lot for that area, the one down in front of Cirque. Even the parking lot in front of The Marketplace will be barricaded as well. All quests wishing to drive their own cars to any area Downtown will be encouraged to park across the street in either the Casting lot to access Marketplace or the Team Disney parking lot. Because day guests are not as aware of these restrictions as the resort guests, this is causing quite a traffic headache. I can’t stress how important it is to read and take note of this. I have not been recently but I was there 3 weeks ago and it was terrible. So my suggestion just go with the flow, be patient, and have a good time.
