`lava

I don’t know about you, but I have always loved the Rainforest Cafe.  I love the atmosphere, the music, the Blue Mountain Chicken Sandwich with a side of honey mustard, and even the SMELL of the place!  The “rain” that falls, along with the air in the building, has a certain clean tropical smell about it.  It might sound weird, but the next time you go in to the Rainforest Cafe, breathe in!  The RFC nearest to my house gives me a little Disney nostalgia, it has the sights, sounds, and smells…… it’s just NOT Orlando!  Granted, the RFC in Downtown Disney has gotten a bit pricey recently, but maybe it’s to help pay for the recent additions.

The brand new Lava Lounge bar at Rainforest Café is now open for all Guests to check out.  With lovely views of Village Lake as part of the scenery, the Lava Lounge can be reached through a “lava tube” to the left of the restaurant’s main entrance.  The RFC has gotten itself a revamped steaming volcano as well.
But wait, there’s more!  Beginning at dusk, the volcano will light up the sky with real fire effects. The eruptions take place every 30 minutes, on the hour and half hour.  It might not seem like major changes, being that the Rainforest Cafe already had an outdoor sit-down area, and steam coming out of the top of their volcano, but I’m sure in true Disney fashion, it will be something great to see!
