The Guardians are Taking Shape

Guardians-of-the-Galaxy_Lineup

For months and months, Disney and Marvel have been talking about Guardians of the Galaxy which hits theaters August 1, 2014.  They have released a photo of a few of the characters.  In the line-up, from left to right, you see Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Rocket Raccoon who will be voiced by Bradly Cooper.  Next is Drax the Destroyer played by Dave Bautista and finally Groot which will be voiced by Vin Diesel.

At the end of Thor: The Dark World we got a shot of The Collector played by Benicio Del Toro.

In addition to these cast members, some other names are:

Michael Rooker will be playing Yondu
Lee Pace will be playing Ronan
Karen Gillan as Nebula
John C. Reilly as Rhomann Dey
Djimon Hounsou as Korath the Pursuer
Glenn Close as Nova Prime

As a Marvel fan I’m excited for this film.  I have been since I first heard about it coming to light, and then the first time seeing the cast together at Comic Con 2013.  I really liked Michael Rooker when he was on The Walking Dead and I’am anxious to see Bautista playing Drax.  Seeing him above reminds me of the early pictures of the first time seeing Ray Park as Darth Maul. I’m sure we are going to see more and hear more as time gets closer.  As we get information we will be sure to pass it along to you.
